AI Fusion 25: Kakinada hosts Godavari region’s first-ever AI summit

Kakinada: AIFusion 25, the first-ever AI summit in the Godavari region, was held on Friday with a significant attendance of 1000+ IT professionals, CXOs, students, startups, and academia.
The summit was organised by the DeepTech Naipunya Foundation (DTNF) and the AP Digital Technology Industry Network (APDTI Network), an industry body dedicated to creating a vibrant deeptech ecosystem.
The summit assumes significance as it was held in the backdrop of Google signing a historic MoU with Andhra Pradesh Government to set up an AI data centre hub in Visakhapatnam with an investment of $15 billion.
The summit covered the key AI sectors through keynotes, panel discussions, and fireside chats, with interactive Q&A sessions for attendees such as agentic AI, gen AI, future of work with AI, edge AI, robotics and AI for startups.
Top Industry AI experts from global companies Google, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, Infosys and many more attended.
The summit recognised the young and bright minds of Godavari region with AI awards.
The AI Summit@Kakinada was privileged to be recognised by the India AI Mission, Government of India, as an official pre-summit event to the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, which will be held in New Delhi next year in February.
The India–AI Impact Summit 2026, announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the France AI Action Summit in February this year, will take place on February 19–20 in the national capital. This global convening aims to harness AI for People, Planet & Progress. It is a landmark gathering that will shape the agenda for inclusive, responsible, and impactful AI cooperation.
The New Delhi Summit is a continuation of the AI Safety Summit in London in 2023, the AI Seoul Summit in South Korea in 2024, and the AI Action Summit (co-chaired by India) in Paris in 2025.
The summit held here was inaugurated by CSRK Prasad, Vice Chancellor of JNTU, who emphasised the growing role of AI for better life and delivery mechanism.
Among others, Anand Govindaluri, CEO of Govin Capital, a venture capitalist with roots in Kakinada, delivered the keynote address on “AI as the Next Industrial Revolution: Shaping the Future of Business, Society & Innovation,” highlighting his commitment to Andhra Pradesh’s AI ecosystem.
Other dignitaries included A.V. Malleswara Rao, Additional Director of STPI, Indrajit Anne, President of ITAAP and Sreedhar Kosaraju, chairman of APDTI Network.
In his message, Kosaraju explained the event's theme: “Democratizing AI: Beyond Metros,” which focuses on making AI accessible to everyone in every sector.
"We have a better AI ecosystem in metros, i.e., 5-6 big cities, but with the demand for AI skills, we need AI resources and an AI ecosystem to be created in 500 cities and towns. We started the AI Fusion platform with the vision to create a vibrant AI ecosystem in Tier 2 and 3 cities across India," he stated.
